What this is
This authorization is required for any individual or legal entity wishing to establish and operate a private health facility (such as a clinic, medical center, or laboratory). It is a mandatory requirement for legal operation and for ensuring the facility's compliance with national health standards. The process of opening a private health facility in Cameroon involves two stages. First, the authorization to establish the facility validates the project's viability and the compliance of the construction plans. Subsequently, the authorization to open is issued once construction is complete and following an on-site inspection; this authorization takes the form of an official order issued by the Minister of Public Health.
