What this is
The operating license for audiovisual communication companies in Cameroon is issued by the Ministry of Communication. It authorizes an individual or legal entity to create and operate a radio, television, or webcasting service (DTT, cable, satellite). To obtain it, any operator must at least: 1. Establish a company under Cameroonian law. 2. Have a minimum share capital, depending on the license category, with mandatory quotas of shares held by Cameroonian nationals in the case of foreign capital. 3. Obtain a favorable advisory opinion from the National Communication Council (CNC).
