Request for approval to create a private higher education institution

What this is

The agreement to establish a private higher education institution is issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and authorizes a promoter to bring their institutional project to fruition. Applying for this establishment agreement is the mandatory initial administrative and legal step for any promoter wishing to open a private university or higher education institute in Cameroon. To obtain it, the project initiator must submit: a stamped application, a criminal record extract, a copy of their national identity card, documents describing the infrastructure (buildings, campus, laboratories), and the academic curricula for the proposed fields of study. The establishment agreement must be followed by an authorization to open, enabling the promoter to open the institution and recruit students.
