What this is
Also known as a "license fee," the operating permit fee is a tax levied by the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure. It is mandatory for all operators of tourism establishments (hotels, restaurants, furnished apartments, travel agencies) or leisure establishments (nightclubs, cabarets). Payment of this fee grants any operator the right to open and run a tourism establishment within the national territory. This non-tax revenue allows the State and decentralized local authorities to support the development, modernization, and promotion of tourism and hotel infrastructure in Cameroon.
What readers say they paid
The law sets a fee. At the counter it is not always the one you pay. Here is what readers report, counted and summarised.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. We publish the figures together, never your account on its own.
