What this is
Fines in the Maritime, Inland Waterway and Lake Transport Sub-sector constitute non-tax public revenue collected by the Government through administrative or monetary penalties imposed on individuals or legal entities that violate the laws and regulations governing maritime, river, and lake transport activities. These fines may be imposed for operating without the required authorization, failure to comply with navigation safety standards, vessel overloading, absence or non-compliance of mandatory shipping documents, violation of environmental protection requirements, or any other offence prescribed under the applicable legislation. The revenue aims to promote compliance with transport safety regulations, protect passengers, property, and the environment, ensure safe and orderly navigation, and support the financing of government inspection, monitoring, enforcement, and regulatory activities within the maritime, inland waterway, and lake transport sector.
What readers say they paid
The law sets a fee. At the counter it is not always the one you pay. Here is what readers report, counted and summarised.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. We publish the figures together, never your account on its own.
