What this is
Secure Documents constitute non-tax public revenue collected by the Government for the issuance of official documents incorporating security features designed to ensure their authenticity, integrity, and traceability. This revenue is paid by applicants requesting the issuance, renewal, or replacement of secure documents such as identity cards, passports, driving licences, certificates, diplomas, professional cards, or any other official document protected against forgery and fraud. The fees cover the costs of designing, producing, personalizing, securing, and managing these documents, while supporting government efforts to modernize public services, strengthen document security, and combat document fraud.
