What this is
The vehicle registration certificate (carte grise) is the identification document for all motor vehicles in Cameroon. Issued by the Ministry of Transport, it authorizes the vehicle's operation and centralizes all its technical and administrative data. To obtain a vehicle registration certificate, you generally need to provide a valid identity document, proof of address, a purchase invoice or a transfer certificate, and a vehicle conformity certificate. The issuance of the vehicle registration certificate falls under the purview of the Ministry of Transport, through the Directorate of Road Transport. This document constitutes legal proof of registration and is a prerequisite for accessing other services (insurance, vehicle inspection, renewal).
What readers say they paid
The instrument sets a fee. At the counter it is not always that one. Here is what readers report, counted and summed up.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. It is published as counted figures, never as your account of it.
