What this is
Recommended before any land transaction, a certificate of ownership attests that a person is the legal owner of a property or land. It confirms the existence of the land title, reveals the identity of the current owner, and specifies whether the parcel has any encumbrances (mortgages, objections, or disputes). This document, issued by the Land Registrar, allows, for example, a buyer to verify that the seller is indeed the owner registered in the land records and that there is no identity theft.
What readers say they paid
The law sets a fee. At the counter it is not always the one you pay. Here is what readers report, counted and summarised.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. We publish the figures together, never your account on its own.
