What this is

Registration in the maritime mortgage register in Cameroon is a procedure that allows a creditor (usually a bank) to register a lien on a vessel. It serves, for example, to protect a loan related to the purchase or construction of a boat. Overseen by the Directorate of Maritime Affairs and Waterways, registration makes a mortgage legally enforceable against third parties and protects the creditor's rights. Obtaining registration requires submitting a file containing the legal documents related to the claim (stamped application, copies of the mortgage deed, etc.) as well as proof of the vessel's identity.

At the counter

What readers say they paid

The instrument sets a fee. At the counter it is not always that one. Here is what readers report, counted and summed up.

Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.

If you have done it, say what you paid. It is published as counted figures, never as your account of it.

Report what I paid

No name, no number, no link. We refuse those.

We publish how many reports there are, the range and the median. Never your report on its own, never an official's name, never a named office.
