What this is
The research permit issued by the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife (MINFOF) authorizes access to wildlife or forest resources, generally for scientific studies. The application file is submitted to the central offices of MINFOF. It consists of: a stamped application form, a scientific research permit obtained from the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation, a certified copy of the national identity card or passport, a detailed research project document, and proof of researcher or student status. If the project involves the study of or access to genetic resources, specific access and benefit-sharing (ABS) procedures apply.
