What this is
The fee for the use of addresses, prefixes, and telephone numbers is a non-tax revenue collected by the State from telecommunications operators in exchange for the allocation and use of national numbering and addressing resources, including telephone numbers, prefixes, and service codes. These resources constitute a limited public domain managed by the State. This revenue falls under the purview of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MINPOSTEL), while the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART) is responsible for the operational administration of numbering and addressing resources, their allocation to authorized operators, and the monitoring of their use in accordance with applicable regulations. Its purpose is to preserve the availability of numbers and prefixes, to prevent their misuse or hoarding, to maintain a coherent national numbering plan and to generate non-tax revenue for the State in return for the exploitation of these resources by telecommunications operators.
What readers say they paid
The instrument sets a fee. At the counter it is not always that one. Here is what readers report, counted and summed up.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. It is published as counted figures, never as your account of it.
