What this is
The MINEPIA Veterinary Sanitary Inspection Tax (TISV) on frozen, dried, fresh, smoked, canned, and live products is a mandatory non-tax revenue stream collected in exchange for compliance and safety inspections performed on live animals and foodstuffs of animal or aquatic origin, regardless of their preservation method. This revenue generates funds to finance epidemiological surveillance, the control of diseases transmissible to humans (zoonoses), and the sanitary security of the distribution chain. It enables the certification of product quality and safety through the issuance of mandatory sanitary documents (transit permits, inspection certificates) that are essential for transporting, locally selling, or importing these products.
What readers say they paid
The law sets a fee. At the counter it is not always the one you pay. Here is what readers report, counted and summarised.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. We publish the figures together, never your account on its own.
