What this is
The land registry extract issued by the Land Registrar traces the legal and cadastral history of a plot of land, detailing its area, its successive owners, and all associated encumbrances. It lists any subdivisions, past transfers of ownership, all encumbrances (mortgages registered and subsequently cancelled, seizures, disputes), and all transactions affecting the land title since its creation. This document is generally requested by the buyer or their notary from the relevant Land Registry office.
