What this is
The MINEPIA Veterinary Sanitary Inspection Tax (TISV) on imports (or international trade) is a mandatory non-tax revenue levied upon the crossing of the national border on imported live animals and products of animal or fishery origin. This revenue generates funds intended to prevent the introduction of animal diseases or zoonoses into the national territory and to ensure the sanitary safety of imported products intended for consumption. Collection is carried out by the Directorate General of Customs in collaboration with MINEPIA veterinary services at border posts and customs checkpoints, with payment required to obtain the release order for the goods.
What readers say they paid
The instrument sets a fee. At the counter it is not always that one. Here is what readers report, counted and summed up.
Nobody has reported an amount for this procedure yet.
If you have done it, say what you paid. It is published as counted figures, never as your account of it.
